Klaus is a conversation review and QA platform for support teams. Our product defines a new category of software aimed at increasing the quality of customer service. Launched 6 months ago, we’re rapidly growing our customer base with names such as WordPress.com, Soundcloud, Wistia, Trivago and Figma already using our tool. Having recently secured a €1.7M investment from Europe’s leading investment firm Creandum, we’re looking to add a Chief Technology Officer to our rapidly growing team.

Your job will be to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will set the stage for scaling Klaus from thousands of users to hundreds of thousands of users. At our current state, this means getting your hands dirty and excelling at hiring. Your strategic and managerial responsibilities will grow together with the organization.

Our stack:

  • Back End: PostgreSQL, Java, Spring, Junit, Rest
  • Front End: Node.js (Express), Vue.js, PWA
  • Ops & Tooling: Google App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Google Firebase, GitLab CI/CD

What you'll be doing:

  • Participate in setting the business goals of the company with founders and other executives
  • Develop technical aspects of the company’s strategy to ensure alignment with its business goals
  • Facilitate implementing new technologies that yield competitive advantage
  • Build and Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and stability
  • Build quality assurance and data protection processes
  • Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
  • Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
  • Communicate technology strategy to founders, executives and investors

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning
  • Fluency to navigate our technical stack
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and organizational abilities

  • Problem-solving aptitude
