Job Description for Business Development Manager
The individual engaged for this role will support the organisation in developing and generating new business ideas The person will also build and maintain relationships with potential donors and partners for the organisation.
•Developing and generating new service opportunities for the organisation.
•Identifying potential institutions with advisory need
•Preparing and presenting business proposals to potential institutions and donors
•Promoting the organisation’s activities, services and products •Initiating and Engaging of donors and partners
•Accessing grants for the organisation’s research and service
•Monitoring and Optimizing the corporate businesses and regulatory activities
•Maintaining an up to date knowledge of regulatory agencies laws and policies
•Building and establishing good working relationship with partners, members, regulators, institutions to exchange ideas and expand personal networks
•Conducting research and analysis of the corporate space to identify areas of concerns and possible impact by the organisation.
•Development and Implementation sustainable business strategy for the organisation.
•Developing and implementing strategies effective in increasing the organisation’s impact
•Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on all marketing and sales activity and results
•Developing sales and marketing literature
•Work with Management on any other tasks that may emerge as a result of the growth of the organisation.
•Conversion of all business activities to revenue
•A first degree in any of the Social Sciences from a reputable university
•A Master in Business Administration will be an added advantage
•A minimum of 5years experience in business development and maintaining marketing strategies
•Proven experience in customer and market research•Relevant Corporate knowledge
•Proven entrepreneurial ability and capacity to identify business opportunities
•Experience working in startups/fast-growth companies
•Strong digital skills
•Strong presentation and speaking skills
•Strong planning, management and organisational skills
•A self starter
LOCATION: VICTORIA ISLAND, LAGOS
SALARY RANGE: 200,000-250,000
